The Infospot is part of an urban development initiative known as The Connective Corridor. It's an ongoing public works project between the City of Syracuse and Syracuse University in New York State, whose goals are to develop streets capes, roadways, as well as pedestrian and bicycle paths from the university to downtown and local neighborhoods.
The logic behind the design came from a partnership between the School of Information Studies (iSchool) at Syracuse University and The Tech Garden, an innovation and technology incubator that also houses the Student Sandbox, an iSchool program focused on start-ups. The project's scope was to create a unique and interactive promotion of the city's new corridor identity. (SyracUSE logo and brand by others) I worked with a team of individuals form both the iSchool and Tech Garden to bring this project to light.
