In December 2009, Royal Caribbean International (RCI) launched Oasis of the Seas on her maiden voyage. She is the world's largest cruise ship, in conjunction with her sister ships. She is unique not only in her size, but her function. It was the end of a two year-journey for me of design exploration, trouble shooting, coordination, world travel, conference calls, thousands of emails, executive presentations, tight deadlines and last minute design changes. The final outcome was well worth the trip.
